AH HA! I have arrived.

Alright kids, this is my officialy first blog post. The last few days have been crazy. Let me start by telling you about my hardships on trying to get here. First, my plane leaving Seattle was delayed by two hours, so that sucked. Then, my flight over I was surrounded my 15 (no joke) screaming blond haired, blue eyed kids. One of which, was throwing up the entire flight over to Copenhagen. Once I got to Copenhagen, because the flight from Seattle left late, I missed my flight to London. The rather rude female who was assisting me in changing my flight, informed me that there were no more direct flights to London that day. So, I then got booked on a flight to Hanover, Germany, and then to London. Copenhagen was fun. And by "fun" I mean not fun at all. My flight was delayed yet again, giving me only 20 minutes to get to my flight to London once I got to Hanover. I finally boarded the plane to Hanover. This was good. Once I got to Hanover, I made what felt like my millionth call home to assure my mom that I hadn't been mugged in the process of changing flights a billion times. My brother insisted that while I was in Germany that I walk up to everyone and say "sprechen sie Deutch?" If you don't speak German, this means "do you speak German?" For goodness sake. Of course everyone there speaks German! It was Germany. I was in no mood to joke around as I had been up for a straight 27 hours at that point in time. I continued reading my book oddly enough called "Baby Proof", which trust me, I wish I had been on the flight over from Seattle. Anyway, I get on my plane to London, which thank goodness, was only 45 minutes. Once I landed in London, going through the passport check was a little unnerving. Good thing I speak English, as I saw in line in front of me, people being railed on the reason they were in the country. I got a very sweet older gentleman, who told me that I was a spoiled brat for being able to be in London for as long as I am, and staying in South Kensington in a Mews House. (I will tell you more about this in a bit.) He let me pass with flying colors and told me to have a "splendid time." So, off I went to get my bags, which honestly, as many times as I changed planes, was in the back of my mind wondering if they would be where I was or not. Sure enough my main bag, the one with all of my toiletries was missing. I was freaking out. Anyway, I went to the baggage control counter and they assured me that it would be delivered to me at Sarah's in the morning. I thought "sure" as I scowled and walked off. I grabbed a cab and had a very nice chit chat with the friendly cab driver. He dropped me off in front of what he thought was Sarah's flat. I called Sarah shreiking and said "Sarah, I'm out front!!!!!!!" She said "Yea" and then she said "Kris? Where are you, because I am out front, and you aren't!" My stomach started feeling sick, as it was nearly midnight and I had no stinking clue where I was, let alone how I would get to where I needed to be. She told me to stay where I was and sure enough, she figured out where I was. We hugged for what seemed like ever and then we walked towards her place. It was only 2 blocks north of where I should have been so I was relieved. I got into her absolutely gorgeous flat and started screaming, as I have NEVER seen a place this nice. Beautiful architecture, white wood, hardwood flooring, granite countertops, 3 bedrooms, 3 bath. I am living in the lap of luxury. Seriously...not trying to brag...but this place is sheer magnificence. I ate a little something that Sarah made for me, sucked down 3 beers and hit the hay. I slept the entire next day (Monday) only waking up for my beloved baggage that ended up at Sarah's right as they told me it would. The next thing I remember hearing was Sarah screaming "honey, I'm home" at around 6:30 p.m. Three little words that I was so excited to hear. So, I showered, put my face on and we headed to dinner. We ate at a Italian restaurant called Carluccio, literally 2 blocks out of Sarah's front door. Phenomenal food my friends, phenomenal. We managed to down two bottles of Rose' wine and then decided to head to the pub across the street from her house called "Hoop & Toy." We, of course, ordered 2 double red bull and vodka's and proceeded to get even more tipsy than we already were. Then we walked around the corner thinking that we would dance for a bit at this posh club called "Boujis." Needless to say, there was a private party going on and we weren't able to get in. As if we needed to drink anymore at this point in time. So...we then went back to "Hoop & Toy" and ordered another double red bull and vodka and closed the pub down (pub's close at midnight here). We walked across the street to Sarah's flat and decided to have a dance party of our own. The neighbors had to come shush us as the base was booming. We opened another bottle of Rose' and danced until 3 in the morning. Needless to say, I felt like utter garbage the next day (yesterday). Sarah and I drug ourselves out of bed, went and ate a full English breakfast, which was delicious and then walked around South Kensington until we realized that our drunkedness had worn off and indeed we were hungover. We headed back to her place, popped in a few movies, and I took a long afternoon nap. We went to dinner at around 7 at this amazing conveyor belt sushi place literally 2 seconds out of Sarah's front door. We went home immediately after din, as I realized I was having full on massive stomach pains. We watched another movie and then we passed out. This morning, I walked around for a bit, ate a sandwich from the local deli and then took another long afternoon nap. (Guys, I am a napper. This won't change just because I am in another country.) I got up, ate some amazing Thai food and now, I am sitting in a internet cafe' just typing my life away. I miss you all dearly, but just know that I am having the time of my life. London is expensive, but I think I will be able to budget nicely. My friend Kenny is coming into town on Friday to stay with Sarah and I for a few days. Sarah is headed to St. Tropez on Sunday morning for the week, so it will be nice to travel with Kenny for a bit. We're going to do the cliche' Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, London Bridge thing, just so I can get that out of the way. Then hopefully, I can twist his arm to go up to the Stonehenge. Scotland might be on the agenda as well. Just have to see where the days take us. Anyway, I will write more when I have more to talk about. This should give you something to read for a bit though. Love you guys...
